Bruce McLaren was born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1937 and died tragically whilst testing one of his cars at Goodwood circuit, England on June 2 1970.

With fellow New Zealanders, Denny Hulme and Chris Amon, Bruce took on the might of the international motor racing world and triumphed with enormous success.That McLaren International continues to use his name fro their Formula One Team is a wonderful tribute and a superb acknowledgement of the New Zealand beginning of the company.
